FCC Youth Group
The youth program at FCC is led by Jill Busby, our Director of Youth Ministries. We offer youth group activities for both Jr. & Sr. High youth. The Jr. High youth(grades 6-8) is called United Pathfinders (or UP group) and our Sr. High youth (grades 9-12) is called the Christian Belief System (or C.B.S. group). We offer a variety of activities that allow our youth the opportunity to grow in their faith, serve their community, learn leadership and team building skills, and fellowship together in a fun, loving, and welcoming Christian environment.

FCC Youth Ministry Vision Statement:
We believe that teenagers are deeply spiritual beings
We believe that the negative influences of the world can inhibit their spiritual potential, therefore
We believe that teenagers are at a critical time in their journey of faith
We believe that knowing God in Christ makes all the difference.
It’s all about… PROVIDING SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Such as:
- Faith: Knowing God and growing in faith is the core purpose of our Youth Ministry. Everything we do from fun social time to Bible study to service projects flows in and out of our desire to know and serve God. As a United Church of Christ congregation, we strive to offer a safe, inclusive, nurturing environment where youth are accepted as they are and have the freedom to question and explore their faith.
- Spiritual friendship and discipleship: Developing Christian, God centered relationships with youth is the heart of this ministry. Effective relationship building happens outside of “program time” more often than within it. Leaders humbly endeavor to “be Jesus” for youth so that youth will be inspired to share that same Spirit with others. Likewise, youth are actively involved in the leadership and guidance of the ministry.
- Service: Because Jesus taught that servant-hood and humility are the best ways to know God and cultivate a God-centered life this ministry holds and practices service in the name of Jesus as a high priority.
